Composition (Annie Liebovitz)
Composition
This photo, by Annie Liebovitz, is kinda using rule of thirds, cinderella (scarlett) is on the right of the picture and she stands out. she also breaks the pattern of the stairs with her dress. There are also leading lines, the walls on either side of the stairs. Her dress is a bright colour and it stands out.

Depth of field (Perou)
Depth of Field
This picture, by Perou, has a short depth of field because the background is not in focus. It draws your eye to the person in the picture because he is in focus and in the middle of the picture.
This picture, also by Perou, has a large depth of field because everything is in focus, my eye is drawn to the flame because it is bright colours compared to the dull background.
Lighting (John Hedgecoe, Perou)
Lighting
By John HedgecoeThe light is coming from the top right corner. it is quite dramatic lighting and it creates very dark shadows on his fingers and under his arms.the light will not not be right next to the wall because its darker in that corner, so the light will most likely be next to the person in the picture but above them. I don't think that it would be light from a window because the light is above him and it would have to be a very high window :)
By Perou
this picture was taken outside and has natural/sun light shining on a white wall which is very bright compared to Perou's dark suit and glasses. Your eye is drawn to Perou because he is very dark compared to the white background. I also look at the shadow of leaves in the corner because they're also darker than the white bricks.

First Analysis - Birthday Party
Vee Speers.
Birthday Party

TECHNICAL: I think it was created in a studio with a digital camera.
AESTHETIC: I like it because there isnt alot of colour and Vee has used a child instead of an adult but she has a straight face, like she's supposed grown up. And I like the dolls :)
